We asked people to create their own Cardiff Coat of Arms
These pictures depict the Cardiff coat of arms which you can spot all over the capital. It has been around in one form or another since 1906, but it wasn’t until 1996 that the city and county of Cardiff finally adopted it.
As with all coat of arms, each element is representative of the city, its history and character . We asked people to have a go at producing their own version – letting us know what Cardiff means to them and how people would interperate how to characterise the history or future of the city.
This project is still open for people to have a go.
Now it’s your turn
You can create your coat of arms however you like – pen & paper, photo collage or sculpture, it’s up to you.
Post your finished coat of arms to the BigLittleCity Facebook page
